How to generate sales in your shop....

So, sales of have been less than robust in my shop. I do alright at the craft shows but it's my goal to do the bulk of my sales on line. To that end, I'm running a special in my Etsy Shop - for the month of April I'm offering 20% off on all items in my shop. Also, as an added bonus, I'm offering 20% off for life to my first three customers.

Would that offer entice you to purchase from me? Does it pique your curiosity enough to see what I'm offering? If not, what would do it for you? Now is your turn to change the direction of an up and coming shop. :)

For those of you who are allowing your curiosity to get the best of you, here's a link to my store on Etsy:

Orange is my favorite color...

In a previous blog - that I've accidently deleted - I wrote about the flickr group that I created "Orange is my favorite color..." - I expressed a concern that there wouldn't be any interest in my group. Why? Well, shortly after creating the group I did a search on flickr to see if there were any other groups tat were similar to mine and I came across numerous groups dedicated to the color Orange. I was convinced that there would be too many groups featuring the color orange. Apparently, I didn't have a thing to worry about. So far there are 16 members and over 40 photos submitted to the "Orange is my favorite color" flickr group. Thanks to everyone who has joined the group. And to those of you who flickr-ites who haven't joined - please do - even if your favorite color isn't orange. You'd be suprised how often shades of orange sneak into your photographs.

I haven't been too successful with my screenshots - which is why there is a lack of photos in my post. :( In one of my groups that I belong to on Flickr there was this running thread on how to create screenshots. One of the members, Three Muses said that she used Thumbalizr. I believe her words that she used were that "It rocks" and she'd be right. It is a cool site.

The screen shot in this post was created using. I'm not sure if I like the quality of the picture. It looks a little fuzzy to me. I'm not sure if it's the program or, ahem...the end user. I would truly love to figure out how to put a link in this post so that when you click on the image it takes you directly to the flickr group. Any way, at least I have pictures. I'll definitely keep working on perfecting the fine are of screenshots. :)

Until then - Best Regards.

Three white freshwater pearls are stack neatly one upon another. They are dangling from hand formed French ear wires and have been oxidized - which contrasts nicely with the whiteness of the pearls.
