As you probably know, I've taken a bit of a "vacation" from my jewelry business as I wasn't sure if this was something that I wanted to pursue. It was a lot of work and I wasn't sure if I was going about my business in the right fashion. However, I've done some "soul searching" and I've decided that this is what I want to do and this is what I'm going to do. I miss sitting in my studio working on my jewelry. I miss that creative outlet it gave me. I love the feeling of accomplishment when I finished that piece of jewelry. Most importantly, I was content and happy and I was never bored. How good can life get? Starting on July 1, 2009 I'm re-dedicating myself to both of my shops: Dancing Monkey Jewelry and Dragonfly Photography. You'll see more activity on this blog and on both Etsy and 1000markets where I'll be promoting my shops. Why July 1st? Well...it's my birthday and I can't think of a better day for a new beginning.
So here are my goals:
- Generate some sales in my shop.
- Get my jewelry portfolio accepted on Trunkt
- Participate in more local art fairs and shows
- Update my blog at least twice a week.
- Enjoy the creative process
These are baby steps to be sure but at least I'll be moving forward. I hope you'll join me on this journey.
Best regards,
Martha
